What is the Matse?
December 6th, 2015The Matse is a comfortable, practical solution to the uncomfortable folding bed problem. The Matse differs from traditional folding beds in that it has no folding parts, rather it uses a sliding mechanism for ease and safety. When the Matse is stowed away it creates a casual settee, available in a range of upholstery options. When pulled out the bed is revealed, featuring a full spec mattress on a sprung bed frame as opposed to the thin folding mattresses found on folding beds.
By using the end of the mattress recommended by Matse, which is suitable for seating use, to create the sofa it provides a comfortable settee suitable for everyday use. This is in contrast to folding beds in which the functionality of the settee is often an after thought; the Matse truly provides two useable pieces of furniture. The sliding mechanism is incredibly easy to use for all ages and unlike folding beds has no dangerous spring components in which fingers can easily become caught. It's sliding design means the unused part of the bed is completely hidden from view, unlike most folding beds which can look out of place in a room.
The Matse has been designed with both functionality and style in mind giving you an end product which is both practical and aesthetically pleasing. Whilst traditional folding beds can be visually unappealing the Matse can be customised in a variety of ways. The upholstery finish is fully bespoke and can be created using fabrics provided by the customer to allow it to match the existing design of a room. The look of the Matse can also be customised by changing the style of both the arms and the headboard, allowing you to create a bespoke product that works for you.
This combined with its functionality means you really can make the most of your space, allowing you to create two rooms in one. This is especially useful in loft conversions where it can be hard to achieve maximum use of space, however the Matse can be installed in a variety of situations.
